Elsworth Mosque Faith, learning, community Donate

Our story

Frankie's journey to faith and community.

Hi, my name is Frankie Elsworth, and I grew up on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. For much of my early life I struggled with obesity, which made things like self-discipline and fasting particularly difficult.

As I got older, I became fascinated by Islam. I fell in love not only with the faith itself, but also with the warmth, generosity, and strong sense of brotherhood I experienced among Muslims. The culture, traditions, and values of the Muslim community inspired me and gave me a sense of purpose that I had been searching for.

After spending time learning about Islam, I took my Shahada and became Muslim. My faith transformed my life, and I wanted to give back to the community that welcomed me so warmly. Years later, with the support of local Muslims, I opened my own mosque to create a place where people could worship, learn, and come together as one community.

What guides us

A mosque shaped by worship and care.

01

Prayer First

Every part of the masjid begins with salah: daily prayers, Jumu'ah, Ramadan nights, and quiet moments of remembrance.

02

Learning Together

Qur'an classes, circles, reminders, and mentoring help every generation grow in knowledge and confidence.

03

Serving People

The masjid is here for families, visitors, young Muslims, elders, and neighbours who need support or a warm welcome.

How it grew

From a small gathering to a community home.

First Gatherings

Families met for prayer, Qur'an recitation, and shared meals.

Youth and Classes

Regular learning circles gave children and teenagers a place to grow.

Open Doors

The masjid became a welcoming space for visitors, neighbours, and local projects.
